Acute bacterial sinusitis caused by susceptible organisms including Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, and Moraxella catarrhalis.
Acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, H. parainfluenzae, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus, and Moraxella catarrhalis.
Mild to moderate community-acquired pneumonia caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, H. parainfluenzae, Chlamydia trachomatis, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, or Moraxella catarrhalis.
Skin and soft tissue infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes. The drug is effective in the treatment of uncomplicated subcutaneous abscesses, furuncles, impetigo, and cellulitis.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Moxifloxacin, other quinolones, or any component of the product.
Contraindicated in children under 18 years of age, as animal studies have shown possible cartilage degeneration in weight-bearing joints.
Patients with a history of QT prolongation or those receiving Class IA antiarrhythmic drugs (e.g., quinidine, procainamide) or Class III antiarrhythmic drugs (e.g., amiodarone, sotalol).
Not recommended for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
